I regularly check this site to see if there is any forward movement. Unfortunately it looks to methat what was good idea at the time seems to have come to a full stop. My question is therefore should we pull the plug now and forget about it.
As far as I can see those who were racing in various series when this idea was first mooted, myself included, are still racing. Therefore, in my opinion, there is no need to continue to hold out a belief that this proposed series will offer a viable alternative to the existing avenues open to the serious race fraternity.

Unfortunately Col I have a cracked liner to replace in the 1120 in the orange car along with a broken rear trailing arm following the hillclimb at Saint Goueno and the water consuming 1040 in the original red car following our attempt at the 6 hour Snetterton race is currently being replaced by a rebuilt 998.
Have a good time.

Perhaps then Pete Richards there are loads of people in the same mechanical situation as you.. Colin has just indicated events that are partially linked to HTS so things havn't come to a full stop. This forum doesn't have a following probably because members are busy trying to get there ,rather than mutter on a load of nonsense or make out they are racing drivers to be as in a well known very subscribed 1000cc ish forum.
I'd be well miffed if the plug was pulled because there are at least 4 competitors on the brink of getting there.. If not in the primary thinking of things regarding HTS..It's just that life gets in the way!! At one time there was 192 visitors to this site so interest is there. It just needs those interested in HTS to keep on thinking that fashionable word POSITIVE rather than the negative .

limjamrace, if we are going to use names, I believe the event that you are referring to is part of an Irish series and is as far as I know in no way linked to HTS it's just that one person who is interested in HTS is competing and has extended an invitation to myself and others. In this instance I am unable to accept the kind invitation due to mechanical maladies that have affected both my cars whilst actually competing this year. Once repairs are complete I will be again be racing, both in Europe and hopefully the UK.
I think you've got your sites mixed up, to me it appears that it is on this site that people go on about hoping to be racing drivers. The site you refer to appears to me have added a number of entrants to race series, particularly 1000cc saloons, over the years and the numbers look to be increasing.
Just because people visit a site doesn't mean they are interested. If that was the case then HTS would be a thriving series by now.
In the current way that racing is organised in this country the only way I see the HTS getting from an idea to a reality is if either a sponsor comes up with the money to buy a race at an existing organised meeting or if potential competitors are willing to commit to putting money up front for the same purpose. Somehow I don't see either happening.

Please RacingClan...If you do not want to support HTS then do not keep putting a downer on those who still wish to! If only one person makes the grid flying the HTS flag (swifty is nearly there i believe) then that to me is a result! We wish you all the success in your forthcoming activities ,and fantastic lifestyle past and present from what you tell us. For myself and many of those who read this site .. The quest goes on to get back into Motorsport eventually. At present things are so bad financially that i cannot even afford to spectate meetings, but the spirit is there. I'm sure that is the meaning of the members on here. Lack of contribution in way of articules doesn't mean that HTS is going nowhere. My meaning of "making out they are racing drivers", are the "lean against the roll cage-i'm a racing driver" syndrome that contributes to other forums ,and the numous people who i have come across over 40 + years of enthusiastic motorsport!

Boxing gloves at the ready. LOL.
I think it would be nonesense to give up now. Like i have said all along this is a marathon not a sprint. There are several cars ready for the grid and the interest in the HTS can only increase, especially with the revival meeting coming up on the 29th and the interest in older smaller powered cars on the up.
Sadly Pete you have never really got onside about the series i had proposed maybe if you had we could ad your name to the competitors showing interest.
Sad to see you leave this forum but if you feel its not working good luck with your racing.
Regards
Mike
