H all, well we made it out to Oulton park last week. It was a great day with many people attending. Andy Jones managed to get there too and entertained everyone with his taxi and ride service for most of the day.
For me it was quite tough as in the morning the car totally steamed up due to the weather and when i pushed on quicker i slid into the gravel without the car being able to restart. No damage though so not to bad.
The afternoon was much better once we got on the slicks. I managed to get some quite quick laps in and the car handled real well.
There are one or two issues to sort out before we go out again. We have decided to test the car further before we enter any races so its lookin like our first meeting will be in May sometime.

Hi Mike
Well done on the first test run!!! I can't wait to get the Clan on the track and, hopefully, I'm looking at the end of May too.
I was talking to Peter Gorrie, the scrutineer for the N.W. BARC race series and he was really excited about seeing a new set of competitors, especially the cars. He reckoned that everyone would go mad for them because they are so different!!! He also said they should be competitive against some of the smaller cars, like Fiestas etc.
All in all, if we can get some more of us to go at it, we may end up with a class of our own, which is one step closer to getting nearer to our goal of an all 1000cc grid.
So, well done again Mike on being the pace setter.
Cheers
Tim
