Well my 1968 Fiat 850 Sport Coupe S2 has gone to a different owner, but sadly he isn't a competitor and will be merey returning it to as standard condition! Oh well at least that puts a bit more in the funding towards 2011,but reduces a varied grid somewhat!! Having said that i used most of the money to pay my British Waterways licence....£666 Recently my friend had a bad deal on ebay regarding a VW Polo diesel...He offered it to me for £100,so me being what i am took it on! The idea was for me to give to my son after rectification in order to give him motivation to get his driving licence and other things...Turns out he rejected it due to not liking the wheels and it being a diesel... As it would be uneconomic to put right and re-sell,i have no choice but to dismantle it for parts...I hate killing cars ! I'm ebaying various parts over the course of time. The shell i am thinking could be used for competition in some guise. I am thinking it is a heavy duty shell due to the rigours of the diesel power plant..Am i right or wrong! Anyhow it can be viewed bit by bit on ebay..My id is of course limjamrace!

£666...How beastly! In my experience there's nowt wrong with diseasels so long as there's a turbo. Sounds like the Fiat's gone to a good home.

Yes..How ironic the sum of £666...£740 if you pay by direct debit ,or stiffer demands the longer you leave it ..Leading to your 18 ton boat going to the crusher-or so they say if you completely evade! Your right regarding turbo diesels..My Transit Connect tdi 110psi is a darling- will pull anything. Just put it in a higher gear and squeeze the throttle away she goes! The VW Polo is such a great car to,although normal aspirated the engine is 1900cc. I have already have ideas for the front uprights ,driveshafts/CV's,bottom links for modification to the Nathan inspired DJL mk1. The top link of the upright is good for a rocker based arm for the inboard damper/spring. Steering arm can be a good link for a extra panhard rod(?)! The 850 is only a few miles away so with luck i can see its progress. He is talking of getting a MOT first off as it is so close to roadworthyness!
Roger Nathan's missus phoned me yesterday to say the books are in the post ,so i'll be dishing them out soon!
