Guys
I’m in the 1000cc and below camp myself, this is what the series is about. I also believe at the start the series need to be as open as possible, to get the biggest entry to get it underway. If you make the rules too restrictive, a lot of existing cars will not be eligible, therefore will not enter. If you make the rules too open, people will build cars to the rules and it will be hard to reign them back in. Not easy. The advantage of Clans, Davrians, G15s, GTMs, Mini Marcoses, Unipowers (be nice if one came out to race) is a hard one to resolve. I think the easiest way is say 1000cc max for saloons and 900cc for sports cars (2 seaters-including space frames). Most of these fiberglass british sports cars are mini or imp based where 850cc and 875 cc are a standard engine size,(+ a rebore) so wouldn’t be too much of a problem, But again this rule would scupper a lot of existing cars, but is not insourmountable.
My 1p’s worth (tight git me)

Yes i think 1000cc is spot on other wise you end up cheque book racing ,as for say the sports car having 900cc engines that could cause a problem for some of the lads who already have 998 fitted so if the series is 1000cc and if we end up with say 3 davrians,3 clans and a load of space frame/semi spaceframe cars and steel cars then we would have to have a few different classes and to make it more fair say for the slower car reverse the grids so the fast cars have to work to get up the front or if thats no good make the faster cars do a lap more ,its all trial and error until thing actualy get out on the trackAt the end of the day its not the winning its about getting out there and having fun with cars that are otherwise sitting in the garage and not been used for what there ment to be
