Well thanks Pete & Mark...
This tyre situation is certainly a "grey" area !
I know one thing i definetely need to get HGH off the stands to get on with other things ,but what hindsight do i aim for!
The situation at the moment is...HSA Class N ...Imp powered vehicles up to 1040cc Road going..
If i get a pass on the MOT then i'm limited to list 1a (Falkan Zieus 912.
That's fine they will do to 2011 (HTS!)!!!
If i have no chance of a pass then its modsaloons up to 1400cc(or class P HSA) with a force induction engine (Only lost a couple of hundred quid in tyres no use to me! (ho-hum!)).
Tyres need to be slicks or list B (Yoko A0048R (?) )
The F.Renault fronts seem great ,thanks Pete but will they be competitive on the short course of a Hillclimb or Sprint?
I've heard the pukka Hillclimb & Sprint sticky things are costing some 600 pounds a set though..
Guess the Formula Renault tyres or similar WILL have to be the best selection!
Only thing is though i will need another set of rims for wet selection!!
Maybe the Yoko's are the best selection then as an all rounder, but from what i read on(Mark's info) the EVO site wet grip is not so good as pukka wets...
Oh..What shall i do ?
I know get in contact with Eric Morrey and ask what he uses on his Clan..He is rather fast!!
Isn't this Motorsport lark fun!!
By 2011 all i need to get going in HTS then is a sub 1000cc engine N/A in HGH + FIA seat(one that allows me to reach the pedals and select 4th gear) + a new fire extinguisher canister+ not out of date harness + an ARDS test +race licence...Easy!
Wouldn't it be nice though if the HTS could unigiuely find a way for drivers of 1000cc cars to just get on the grid without all this!
So long as the car is of a 1000cc physically capacity production engined Saloon or Sportscar ,complies with safety issues..Then bring what yer 've got!
The winner be the best racing car about, the driver of the most ability, the most clever constructor and so on..
This is what life is all about then why not Motor Sport
Maybe like Pete's Formula Renault tyres surprising situation ,the cheapist option in a roundabout way is a "Free formula"!
May i suggest then as far as tyres are concerned the tyre choice be optional! Meaning please yourself!!

p.s ..Still working on the forced induction inclusion!
